Gardening Club

Introduction

Rowlands Castle Gardening Club is a well-established village club. In normal times it holds regular monthly meetings, makes local visits, and holds a Spring Show.

Monthly meetings are held throughout the year except for the two Summer months. We have a variety of visiting speakers nearly all with a loosely gardening theme, free coffee, and a raffle. The December meeting is a member’s only party. The meetings are held in the Church on the Green at PO9 6AB.

The two Summer meetings are group visits to gardens or nurseries

A relaxed Spring show is held with entries from members or non members in a wide variety of flower and vegetable categories. Entry is free with certificates as prizes except the members growing competition which entails growing a plant from a supplied bulb or plug – the best is awarded a small annual trophy. While the worst must host a garden gnome for a year.

Membership

Membership covers entry to all the monthly meetings, except the Summer trips. Visitors are welcome to the meetings for a small fee. Details of the current calendar, membership fees and contact details please go to the Gardening Club page on the RCA website.
