Friends of

Many of the historically significant local buildings and estates are Charitable Trusts or Foundations and are supported by ‘Friends of…’ societies. These societies are devoted to the conservation of these treasures, for the good of the community. Members give their time voluntarily in activities such as volunteering, fundraising, stewarding and helping to raise the attraction’s profile locally, spending as much time as they can spare.

They are always happy to hear from people who would like to give some of their time to support the friends by volunteering on these projects. If you are interested in joining one of these societies, please visit their website for more details.

The Friends of Staunton Country Park group all give their time voluntarily to run projects that seek to educate the public about the park’s history and draw attention to the diversity of flora and fauna present in the Park. We are always happy to hear from people who would like to give some of their time to support the friends by volunteering on these projects/events, or by signing up to a volunteer role that supports the committee directly.
